Hello, my name is Michael Riffel and I have the privilege of being the pastor here at Faith Baptist Church. The Lord called me to be a missionary at the age of 14 and I prepared for God's work by attending Pensacola Christian College.  After being commissioned for missionary service, raising support, and being ordained to the ministry, my wife April, daughter Abigail and I came to Japan in 2012. At that time I served as the Assistant Pastor here for for 5 years under the leadership of Pastor Richard Rich, my father in law. After Pastor Rich's sudden home going to glory in 2017 I was voted as pastor. I am not perfect but desire to be a blessing and preach and teach God's Word faithfully with compassion.
